The Tegan and Sara Foundation is holding an open call for our Community Grants program. Applications are open until February 21, 2025. Please read all information below before applying. 

The Tegan and Sara Foundation provides microgrants to community-led 2SLGBTQ+ organizations in the US and Canada to funnel support to those who need it most and create a capacity-building network of organizations whose work is often missed.

We launched Community Grants in 2020 as a rapid response to queer organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, we have launched multiple rounds of funding dedicated to Black-led organizations, trans youth-serving organizations, organizations serving 2SLGBTQ+ survivors of intimate partner violence, and more. See the impacts of our previous grants and the work we’re committed to continuing here. 

The Tegan and Sara Foundation is offering grants between $1,500 and $5000 to 2SLGBTQ+ leaders and small nonprofits. Our goal is to fund the projects meeting needs of 2SLGBTQ+ people through a diversity of programs, geographies, approaches and communities. 

Grantees will join a cohort of 2SLGBTQ+ leaders and nonprofits across the country to support each other, and will also benefit from the institutional knowledge of the Tegan and Sara Foundation.

In 2025, SVCREATES will award up to three Content Emerging Artist Awards of $5,000 each. 

New this year! Content Emerging Artist Award - South County
Thanks to the support of dedicated south county funders, one award will honor an emerging artist making an impact through their art in the cities of Gilroy, Morgan Hill, or the San Martin area. Note, artists may live outside those cities, or in adjacent counties, but the majority of their work must be performed or presented in South Santa Clara County.

Awards will be presented at a public celebration in August 2025. All awardees will be featured in the August 2025 issue of Content Magazine.

Content Emerging Artist Award recognizes early career artists in all genres for artistic achievement and commitment to a path toward becoming a professional artist.

Visual Arts: including two and three-dimensional work that is created in the studio or in community spaces; including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture in all media, photography, video, mixed/multiple media, installation, new or alternative media and social practice art.

Performing Arts: including art that is presented for an audience on a formal or informal stage. Eligible applicants include artists creating work that is developed offstage, backstage, or pre-performance (choreographers, composers, stage directors, stage/set/costume designers). Or performers themselves (dancers, actors, spoken word artists, instrumental/vocal musicians).

Literary Arts: all written literary art forms, including poetry, prose, stage or screenplay.

Note: This program does not include architecture, landscaping, industrial/graphic/computer systems design, journalism/photojournalism, or other commercial activities.

An artist in the early stages of their career (not defined by age)

Demonstrating a commitment to their practice, working intentionally over the last 3-5 years to develop and promote a career as a professional artist

Having some evidence of professional achievement through exhibitions or performances in public settings

Being rigorous in their approach to creation and production

Having developed an original body of work with a clear identity

Open Call for Applications for the 2025 NALAC Leadership Institute

The 2025 Institute will take place from July 20 – 27, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.   

February 10, 2025, San Antonio, TX — The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC)  is excited to announce the open call for applications for the 2025  NALAC Leadership Institute (NLI). The Institute is a week-long fellowship that brings non-profit arts administrators and cultural workers together from across the nation for intensive training in leadership and management capacity.

“The NALAC Leadership Institute remains a pivotal program for our organization, and each year, we are amazed by the cohort of dynamic, passionate, and talented arts administrators doing valuable work in their communities,” said Cat Rodríguez, NALAC’s Director of Programs. “Now more than ever, it is critical that we gather together to uplift Latinx/é arts and cultures to pool knowledge, hone our skills, and move with intention to advance our Latinx/é communities.”

The 2025 NLI program will welcome esteemed faculty members Dr. Maribel Álvarez (University of Arizona), Evonne Gallardo (Community Partners), Abel López (GALA Hispanic Theatre), Charles Rice-Gonzalez (BAAD! Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance), and Rosalba Rolón (Pregones/PRTT) to guide the fellows through the week-long institute of learning sessions and workshops developed to facilitate professional leadership growth and managerial development.

Participation in the institute is open to Latinx/é non-profit arts administrators and/or cultural workers based in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.  Alumni of the NALAC Advocacy Leadership Institute (ALI) and Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI) are encouraged to apply.

2025 NALAC Leadership Institute

The Arts in California Parks Grants Program revitalizes local parks with diverse experiences that foster creativity, community connection, and transform them into vibrant hubs of art, culture, and nature.

In 2024, more than $2.8 million was invested to support 31 grant recipients across California. These innovative programs will bring art and cultural activities to local parks, transforming them into dynamic spaces that celebrate California’s cultural heritage and provide memorable experiences for visitors and residents alike.

California Parks Grants

This grant program is intended to enable creative projects in the Fifth District that demonstrate the power of the arts to contribute to the social cohesion of our communities through beautification of downtown areas or neighborhoods. 

Applications are being accepted to advance that broad objective in unincorporated Fifth District locations that are publicly accessible. This program is made possible with support from Board of Supervisors Chair and Fifth District Supervisor, Lynda Hopkins, through community infrastructure funding. All applications must be entered via Submittable – paper-based, handwritten or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Improve public spaces through creative projects accessible to Fifth District residents and visitors

Improve public spaces in unincorporated areas in the Fifth District

Build sense of shared creativity for West County’s residents

Generate support from the community and/or local artists

Optional Social Cohesion Impact: reflect the diversity of the West County community

Creative Sonoma - District 5 Community Public Art Project Grants

Truckee Cultural District invites applications from artists and arts organizations / collaboratives seeking support for 2025 special events that are aligned with the goals of the Truckee Cultural District.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by the Truckee Cultural District Grants Review Committee until funds are fully expended, or by June 30, 2025, whichever comes first.

If you are awarded a Truckee Cultural District Mini-Grant, you will be positively growing the visibility of Truckee Cultural District by displaying provided logos, and proper acknowledgements. For reporting / tracking purposes, Truckee Cultural District staff will be requesting audience demographic information if applicable and require written follow up on the success of your event. 

These funds are part of the Truckee Cultural District budget for the 2025 fiscal year with a total of $20,000 being granted on a rolling basis by June 30, 2025. Requests can be made for up to $1,000 for individual artists and $5,000 for arts organizations/collaboratives.

Truckee Cultural District Mini-Grants

The DAG Foundation for the Arts (DAG) champions innovative artists whose work inspires, challenges, and enriches our communities. We do this by supporting artists in literature, music, and the visual arts as they work to build thriving, sustainable careers.

Our focus is on emerging artists whose work seeks to expand boundaries and explore new possibilities. We aim to provide financial support to these artists and facilitate connections to other artists, opportunities, and creative outlets. We intend to reach these goals in three ways: by awarding individual prizes to musicians, writers, and visual artists through a competitive process; by holding events to celebrate and promote DAG-supported artists and their work; and by forming strategic partnerships that advance our core mission.

Success, for the DAG Foundation, will be measured in the number of artists whose careers we can advance, the innovative art they create, and the people and communities they inspire, challenge, and enrich.

DAG Foundation for the Arts

Each year, an open-call application is made available in each of the seven active partner cities. Supporting artists equitably is a critical part of the Artadia Award process: we consider the unique populations of each community and are proud to reflect our country’s diversity with an Awardee pool that is over 50 percent female and over 40 percent persons of color.

In addition to financial support, Awardees can participate in the Artadia Network to receive structured opportunities for valuable new connections and resource sharing as well as receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia’s online Artist Registry. Connections fostered by Artadia have facilitated major steps in Awardees’ careers, such as inclusion in prominent exhibitions (e.g. six Awardees are featured in the 2024 Whitney Biennial, and seven Awardees in Prospect.6 New Orleans).

Beyond Artadia’s anchored program cities, we offer annual awards such as the roving Award with 21c Museum Hotels and the SEEN Award – a dedicated Award for women-identifying artists with ancillary programming.

1. OPEN CALL
The Artadia application is open for one month in each program city, is free to apply and open-call.

2. APPLICATION REVIEW
A jury of three curators assembled by Artadia, including one locally based curator, reviews all applications and determines a short list of six Finalists.

3. ROUND TWO STUDIO VISITS
A second jury, assembled by Artadia, made up of one juror from the application review and one new juror conducts virtual studio visits with each Finalist for 45 minutes.

4. AWARDEES IDENTIFIED
Following the studio visits, the second round jury will designate three Awardees to receive unrestricted funds of $15,000*, as well as access to the Artadia Network. Awardees are determined based on the sole discretion of the jury. *The Marciano Artadia Award gives unrestricted funds of $25,000 to one artist in Los Angeles.

For their time and labor in the application process, Artadia provides honorariums to each Finalist ultimately not chosen as an Awardee.

Sage Eldercare Solutions (SES) - Quality of Life Engagement Specialist

The mission of the San Francisco Foundation’s Multicultural Fellowship Program is to equip emerging leaders with the experience, knowledge, and network to increase racial and economic equity in the Bay Area. For more than 30 years, the Multicultural Fellowship has been a career accelerator for leaders who are motivated, creative agents of change.

Each Multicultural Fellowship cohort consists of four Fellows. Each Fellow is placed within a specific program focus area at the foundation: People, Power, Place, or Strategic Learning and Evaluation. Fellows work within their focus areas to increase team capacity, provide a fresh perspective, and contribute to the team’s work towards advancing equity in the Bay Area. 

Our Multicultural Fellowship Program is a transformational two-year, full-time program that offers:

The organization’s purpose will be assessed and verified by staff using the organization’s website, mission, core activities, and IRS National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) codes.

Please note: This grant program operates and is open on a two (2) year cycle. If awarded, grantees receive their award amount for Fiscal Year 2026, and will receive the same award amount for Fiscal Year 2027.

MLK Jr. Youth Services Center / Young Adult Project Public Art Commission RFQ

Located next to Grove Park at 1730 Oregon Street, the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Services Center/Young Adult Project houses various afterschool and summer recreation programs such as tutoring, violence prevention, and leadership development for teens and young adults. As a community center, the Parks, Recreation, Waterfront Department provides recreational programming and services for residents of all ages here, but this is the only community center with a particular focus on young adults and teens, located in an area that was formerly redlined by the mortgage industry. It is home to the City’s only teen-focused recreational programming and offers free, low-cost, or affordable programming for the City’s residents, in particular our at-risk youth. In addition, the MLK Jr. Youth Services Center/Y.A.P. has been designated as one of the City's care and shelter facilities identified in the City's Resilience Strategy.

City of Berkeley - Civic Arts Grant

Reports To: Associate Director, Communications (ADC)

Location: P.S. ARTS Office; Los Angeles, CA

The Digital Content Manager (“DCM”) will oversee the production, marketing, distribution, and accessibility of digital arts content, program documentation, and media communications for P.S. ARTS. The DCM will be responsible for P.S. ARTS’ external online presence, including web content and social media, as well as documentation of P.S. ARTS programs. The DCM will produce frequent, high-quality multichannel content that reflects P.S. ARTS’ mission, advances organizational goals, and aligns with the P.S. ARTS brand. 

This DCM position demands a creative spirit able to deliver on multiple projects and campaigns across various P.S. ARTS platforms – internal and external; as well as within communications, fundraising, and program services. This includes project management as well as content creation.

P.S. ARTS - Digital Content manager

Under the supervision of the Communications and Marketing Director, the Communications and Marketing Assistant contributes significantly to advancing the California Museum’s mission by promoting its exhibitions, public programs, and educational offerings through the website, social media, e-newsletters, outreach, and other promotional channels.

Working closely with the marketing team, the Communications and Marketing Assistant develops and implements strategies to enhance audience engagement, elevate event and exhibit visibility, and ensure consistency in messaging and branding. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills in social media management and video editing, paired with a passion for storytelling and fostering community connections. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who works independently and finds creative solutions when challenges arise. They are a critical thinker who contributes fresh, innovative ideas that align with the Museum’s brand and mission.

Social Media:                        In collaboration with the marketing team, create and maintain an engaging presence for the Museum on multiple social media platforms by managing the posting of a regular schedule of highly visual posts to promote Museum activities, share mission-related content, and increase the Museum’s social media following. Manage day-to-day aspects of social media, including copywriting, scheduling, posting, commenting and following key accounts. Creation of digital assets – including photos, videos, and motion graphics – in collaboration with the Graphic Design and Communications Specialist. Keep abreast of current trends to expand Museum’s social media presence to new platforms as appropriate Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Director to develop and manage paid advertising campaigns on social media. Provide regular reports on social media performance, including insights and actionable recommendations to enhance engagement through both organic and paid advertising strategies.


Video Production: Capture dynamic, on-site footage of museum events, exhibits, and behind-the-scenes activities for social media and promotional use. Edit raw video footage into polished, engaging clips suitable for various platforms (social media, website, news outlets). Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all video content.


Community Outreach: Conduct research and develop custom contact databases to aid community outreach efforts. Assist in the local promotion of events and exhibits and promote positive community relations via outreach to community partners and organizations. Developing flyer distribution lists custom to events and exhibits, and as needed, distributing flyers.


Miscellaneous: Assist with additional marketing and communications efforts, including: development of media lists, restocking physical marketing materials, newsletter development, website updates, and more.

Arts Council of San Bernardino County - Community Teaching Artist

Our Disaster Relief Fund is dedicated to addressing the most dire needs of SAG-AFTRA members due to the Los Angeles wildfires. We are currently prioritizing Disaster Relief for members whose residences and/or vehicles have been destroyed by the fires.

If you are a SAG-AFTRA member who has lost your residence and/or vehicle, please read this entire page to determine your eligibility in order to apply for Disaster Relief. Lack of work due to the wildfires does not qualify for disaster relief.

If you have not lost your residence, and/or vehicle due to the L.A. wildfires, but have been affected and are in need of assistance, please contact these organizations and emergency resources who are equipped to handle crises of this scale and can address your immediate needs. We will continue to update this list; please check it regularly for updates.

To Qualify for Disaster Relief Assistance, SAG-AFTRA Members:

• Must have lost their residence, and/or vehicle due to destruction caused by the Los Angeles wildfires and are experiencing financial hardship
• Must be current with SAG-AFTRA dues
• Are not eligible if they have any of the following SAG AFTRA membership statuses: Non-Member, Suspended Payment, Terminated, Resigned, or Fee Paying Non-Member (Fi-Core)
