Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars is an all volunteer organization that serves Riverside, California!
When the next school year begins, 41 local high school graduates will start their freshman year of college supported by scholarships awarded by Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars. Selected from a pool of over 150 applicants, the students will receive varying award amounts ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars is an affiliate of Scholarship America. Formed in 1996, the local organization partners with individuals, businesses and other nonprofits to raise and award the scholarship funds. Partners include the Al Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce's six business councils, National Charity League, Katherine C. Webb Memorial Scholarship Fund, Riverside Road Runners, Riverside Dickens Festival, Sunrise Rotary Club, and Inland Empire Community Foundation.
Merit and need-based scholarships are offered each spring to graduating seniors in Alvord, Jurupa, Corona-Norco, Moreno Valley, and Riverside unified school districts as well as Sherman Indian High School and California School for the Deaf.
