Artist Space Trust (AST) is excited to announce two opportunities for artists who are currently in the process or ready to purchase a below market-rate home, condo, cooperative, or TIC unit.

We have access to four allocations from Northern California Land Trust’s CalHome Downpayment Assistance Program that we need to match with qualified first-time homebuyers in Alameda County before May 31.

This means that we can help up to four low income families or individuals access up to $200,000 of down payment assistance for their first home.

Details:

• Downpayment assistance can be applied to AST property opportunities or to other qualifying properties that are priced below the median home sales price of approximately $1.4M
• Assistance is structured as a deferred low-to-no-interest 2nd mortgage, that is repaid when the home is sold.
