BRIC Foundation: Director of Events
BRIC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit company focused on increasing representation in Entertainment, Gaming, Media and Tech. By strategically engaging with leaders across these industries, along with Government and Education Partners, BRIC strives to Break, Reinvent, Impact and Change the foundations of these businesses and create inclusive opportunities for women and underrepresented people to be successful.
Join our team! We are looking for a part-time Director of Events to help bring BRIC's programs to life. This role is perfect for someone who feels confident organizing all aspects of events, including communication, budgeting, vendor management, and physical set-up/breakdown. As a small team, your voice will be a part of the conversations that shape the work we do. You’ll report to our Executive Director.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the event strategy of the organization
- Producing the BRIC Summit, along with other educational and promotional events throughout the year – both virtually and in the Southern California region
- Represent BRIC at industry events and network on behalf of the organization
- Day of point person for all events
- Clearly communicate with external partners and sponsors on behalf of BRIC
- Help set up organizational systems for events to track and communicate tasks
- Manage project timeline (ensuring social media, speaker and sponsor confirmations, swag and website development are on time)
- Manage vendors, contractors, and volunteers
- Manage physical and virtual assets from sponsors, speakers, and partners as well as BRIC merchandise
- Comfortable creating and working within budgets
- Digital and Print Content support with the Comms Team
- Additional tasks as required
Qualifications include:
- Previous event management experience
- Organized and able to follow through on tasks
- Calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Located in the Los Angeles area
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Proficient in Productivity Apps, Zoom, Microsoft Suite, Canva/Adobe, Google Drive
- Squarespace, Airtable, Asana, and Discord experience a bonus
